Federal Way is home base. IDB Plumbing Solutions was founded here, our headquarters and main warehouse are here, and the largest of our three crews dispatches from here every morning. When you call our Federal Way office, you're reaching the operational heart of the company — and a team that knows the housing stock of South King County the way only locals can.
From Federal Way we cover the entire Seattle–Tacoma corridor: Kent, Auburn, Des Moines, Burien, SeaTac, Renton, Tukwila, Puyallup, Lakewood, and Tacoma itself, along with the neighborhoods in between — Twin Lakes, Dash Point, Redondo, Star Lake, and the West Campus and Mirror Lake areas of Federal Way proper. If you're anywhere in South King or North Pierce County, a stocked IDB truck is minutes away, not hours.
The homes here tell a story our plumbers know well. Post-war ramblers in Burien and Des Moines still carrying original galvanized supply lines. 1980s split-levels around Twin Lakes with polybutylene that fails without warning. Newer construction in East Hill Kent with PEX manifolds and tankless heaters that need a different skill set entirely. Our Federal Way crew works across all of it daily — which means faster diagnosis, better recommendations, and repairs that respect how your particular house was built.
Being the headquarters office has practical advantages for you: the deepest parts inventory in our company, the most trucks on the road, and the shortest response times in our busiest coverage zone. Emergency calls in the Seattle–Tacoma metro are dispatched from here around the clock. Whether it's a burst pipe in Auburn at midnight or a full repipe in Tacoma's North End, the Federal Way team has the depth to handle it without stretching.
