Frederickson barely existed as a neighborhood thirty years ago, and now it's one of the fastest-growing communities in Washington. The subdivisions along Canyon Road, 176th Street, and Military Road went up from the mid-1990s through the 2020s with PEX supply, PVC drains, and high-efficiency or tankless water heaters — modern systems that are nonetheless hitting their first round of failures: pressure-reducing valves that stick at 15 to 20 years, builder-grade water heaters that give out together, and fixture cartridges wearing out one after another.
The other half of Frederickson is industrial. The Boeing composite plant, bottling and distribution facilities, and the warehouses along Canyon Road East make up one of Pierce County's largest employment centers, and they need commercial plumbing: backflow assembly testing and installation, process water, floor and trench drains, commercial water heaters, and restroom repairs that can't shut down a shift.
