Kirkland's plumbing calls follow its remodeling boom. The 1950s–'70s ramblers and split-levels of Rose Hill, Juanita, North Rose Hill, and Norkirk are being opened up, added onto, and in many cases rebuilt from the studs — and behind those walls sit original galvanized supply lines and cast-iron drains that were never designed for a modern kitchen and two new baths. Finn Hill and Kingsgate, annexed into Kirkland in 2011, bring their own history.
